Typical Messages from Fans and "Anti-Fans"
Today I was going through some of my youtube messages (I do sift through them all…eventually!) and thought these three messages were funny because they were in this order, and are fit the 3 categories of typical messages I receive from fans, viewers, and well, haters.

I saw a video of yours and thought you were the most beautiful girl in the world. I searched further to find out who you really were. Then came the hard truth. I knew that all hope was lost for me when I read your life’s work.
I can’t believe I’m writing this, but it seems I have no other choice. I can honestly say that I believe your one of the very best of all God’s creations. I hope to follow you throughout your life to witness the many great things you’ll accomplish. This may sound corny, but I will wait until the next life to meet you if I have to. i´m from milan italy 19 years old(but i´m actually half italian and half brazilian) and i saw the video “wrong hole” the day befor yesterday. it was extremly funny!… i have to say that there aren´t so many beautiful girls like you and i was very impressed by your good looking… and then (if this is your singing voice) your voice is amazing… can´t believe you they kicked you out of american idol… well just tell me the next time you´re in the city of fashion and i´ll show you around (i´m party organizator in a lot of known and awesome discos there) hahahaha :P… so tell me when you´re there :P

Wisdom time: Everyone has haters. Everyone. Abraham Lincoln had haters. FDR had haters. Nothing you do will ever be 100% accepted. It doesn’t matter what you do or don’t do; someone will have a problem with it.
But the vast majority of haters don’t understand what it is they hate. I know this from past experiences arguing about politics from both major viewpoints. Here’s an easy example: Ann Coulter said something along the lines that Taryn’s HOTT4HILL video was “polluting our children’s minds with lesbian, communist ideas”. I’m not joking, either.
People will hate something even if their reasons make no sense whatsoever, and you SHOW them that they make no sense whatsoever.
Why? A lot of people WANT to hate something or someone. They really do. These are the people who hate Obama for being “Muslim” or “not American” even if you show them his birth certificate, and point out that he went to the United Church of Christ for decades.
They’re the people who hate oil executives for being rich, even after you point out that Oprah makes far more than they do in a year.
In this case, they’re the people who don’t have anything constructive to say about why something is or isn’t funny or good. They rank everything 1 star if it isn’t specifically what they want to see. They tell people to leave YouTube, even though they don’t have to watch anything they don’t like.
Long story short, ignore the haters unless they have valid, constructive criticism. They’re not worth the trouble if all they’re going to post is messages like the first one. Focus your energy on other things.

Taryn, I too love your work and am always shocked when I see the bizarre stuff that folks who put themselves out there have to deal with.
Over and above your great looks, what won me over as a fan is your fabulous voice. I hope that you’ll be able to focus more on your music once you get yourself established in web Tinseltown!

When I first found out about you I prejudged you on your looks and assumed you were just another woman playing on her beauty to get attention on the internet and especially on youtube. I was wrong. After watching your work (e.g. Private High Musical), I realized that you are really talented and that in many of the roles you play you actually downplay your looks. I am a big fan now. Keep up the excellent work.

I second and third the PRO Taryn comments. My feeling’s the Internet’s becoming such a “free” playground for some and they take cheap shots at hard-working people LIKE YOU.
