Bill the Hamsta
Please enjoy this extremely captivating, National Geographic-worthy :60 documentary of my hamster Bill, who was clearly very thirsty last week.
Shortly after making this video, Bill was admitted to the small pet hospital and put under anesthesia to remove a tumor on his…bum. Needless to say, Bill has been through a lot in the past five days (3 hospital trips, icky tasting medicine, surgical glue!), so he’s a little under the weather… but he wants you all to know that he appreciates your well-wishes and get well cards :-)
RIP Bill, you were loved and will be missed

Hmm, I seem to remember my mice and my mom’s rats getting tumors… and one of her rabbits too.
I’m also almost certain she said something about mice and rats being prone to tumors anyway (which is why she doesn’t see why we use them for animal testing). She was in animal rescue for a while and did some veterinarian (thanks spell check) stuff when she was younger… maybe it’s just a thing small animals get?
In other words, don’t feel guilty about it.
